| Notes on loss | At 21.43 hours on 2 Nov, 1942, the unescorted Llandilo (Master William Redvers Baden Burgess) was torpedoed and sunk by U-172 southeast of St.Helena. The master, 20 crew members and three gunners were lost. 17 crew members and three gunners were picked up by the Norwegian merchant Olaf Bergh and landed at Port of Spain, Trinidad. | ||
